The participants of Dancing Queen- new dance based reality show on Colors

1) Ada

She is from Army background. She came to Mumbai to become an Air Hostess, but soon started anchoring the live shows. She has trained in Indian classical- Bharatnatyam. She is a commerce graduate and has also specialized in industrial training and personnel management.

2) Priya Gamre

She is from Thane, Maharashtra. She can’t pursue her studies after 12th due to financial problems. Soon she started working as an account assistant in an agency. But the earning was not sufficient to raise her family so she started the work of Body double/ Stunt woman in Film and Television industry. Today she is among the top three stunt women in the entertainment industry. She has worked as a body double for many big heroines like Priyanka Chopra, Vidya Balan etc. Now with Dancing Queen she wants to come in front of the camera.

3) Moon Das

She is from Kolkatta. She has done many corporate shows and photo shoots. Her name came into lime light when her beau Avinash Patnaik killed himself after murdering her mother and uncle.

4) Shaamaayal

She is from Banaras. She is a B. Com and is preparing for MBA. She is suffering from Rheumatic Heart disease for which she has to take up Penicillin injection every 20 days. She is from a conservative Muslim family who are against her participation in dancing. In spite of the strong opposition from her family and her ailment she came to Mumbai to fulfill her dreams. Earlier she has participated in Channel 9x’s show- Yeh Hai Jalwa. Dancing Queen is her 2nd show.

5) Sonali Nirantar

She is from Pune. She is good dancer, but can’t pursue it due to family pressure. She got married at an early age. Now she is mother of a 2 year old girl child. When her in-laws and her husband saw her dancing in a family function, they realize that she is a brilliant dancer and should be given a chance to prove her worth. Now she has got the time of one year from her family to try her luck.

6) Taranjeet Kaur

She is a Punjabi girl from Kanpur. She is in Mumbai for the past four years, trying to make her name in the media industry. So Dancing Queen can prove to be a good option for her.

7) Liza Malik

She was born in Kolkatta and brought up in Delhi. When she was in 12th standard her parents got separated and she has to give up her studies to earn a living for her mother, younger brother and sister. She completed her graduation through correspondence. She is very talented; she has won the first prize in Boogie Woogie when she was in 9th standard. She has won the title of Miss Delhi in 2002. recently she has launched an album- “Simply Liza” with Mika.

8) Anjali Azad

She is a Bar Dancer. She came to Mumbai about 5 years back. Here her sister was earning her living as a bar dancer. Anjali too had to become a bar dancer as she had no other option. She is educated till the fifth grade only. Dancing queen is a good option for her to change her life completely.

9) Bhoomika

She is from Mumbai. She is suffering from Leucoderma which started at an early age as she was given wrong medication for body burn. She has worked as a background dancer in many stage shows and music videos. Now with this show she wants to come in the front.

10) Mrigya Saklani

She is from Uttaranchal. Her father wanted her to be an engineer but she had other dreams so she ran away from her home when she was just 16. She has done many corporate shows and print and media ads for many big companies like Loreal, Sunsilk etc.
