Just remember the different singing reality shows running on the various channels like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Indian Idol, Voice Of India. If you think that your favorite participants didn’t win the title in these shows so there is another chance for you to vote for your favorite singers as Star Plus has come up with a new reality show- Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar. The highlighting feature of this show is that in this show the runner ups will challenge the winners of different competitions.
The show is hosted by the gorgeous Mandira Bedi and Vishal- Shekhar and Farha Khan are the judges of the show. After giving birth to three children Farha is back to judge in this show.
There are two teams in this show- the challenger team and the champion team. In the challenger team there are runner ups of different competitions who couldn’t win the competition in spite of being very promising. The champion team includes the winners of different competitions.
This show is by Endemol Productions, the makers of various successful reality shows running on different channels like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Bigg Boss, Champion Chaalbaaz No.1, Funjabbi Chak De etc.
Challenger Team
There are 12 challengers in this team who will challenge the champions. They are:
1) Rahul Vaidya (2nd runner up in Indian Idol 1)
2) Amit Sana (1st runner up in Indian Idol 1 has launched albums like Chal Diye, has also sung for many bollywood movies like Kalyug, Delhi Heights)
3) Amit Tondon (a participant of Indian Idol 1. Apart from singing has acted in various TV series like Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Recently working on his music album)
4) Ravindra Ravi (one of the top ten finalists of Indian Idol 1. Has launched a punjabi album- Jatt Lutya Gaya)
5) Prajkta Shukre ( a participant of Indian Idol 1. Has many upcoming projects like movie Raaz 2, her own music album)
6) Neha Kakkar (participated in Indian Idol 2)
7) Vineet Singh (got 2nd position in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. has lent his voice for many bollywood movies’ songs like Aashiqana Aalam Hai from movie Good Boy, Bad Boy, Kesariya Baalma from movie Nanhe Jaisalmer )
8) Himani Kapoor (one of the promising singers of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. has lent her voice for many songs like Meri Awargi from Movie Good Boy, Bad Boy, Tere Layee from Movie Fool N Final etc.)
9) Harshit Saxena (runner up of Amul Voice Of India. Has many projects in hand like the songs of movie Raaz 2)
10) Priyani Vani (participant of Amul Voice of India. After got eliminated from the show she re entered through wild card entry but then again voted out)
11) Sumitra Iyer (was among one of the 12 participants of the Amul Voice of India)
12) Toshi Sabri (a Participant of Amul Voice of India after elimination reentered the show through wild card entry but then again eliminated)
Champion Team
The 6 champions are:
1) Abhijeet Sawant (first Indian Idol who won the Indian Idol 1. His first album Aap Ka Abhijeet Sawant was a big success. In 2007 he released his 2nd album- Junoon which was also successful. Moreover he has sung for various movies too like Mar Jawan Mit Jawan song from Ashiq Banaya Apne)
2) Ruprekha Banerjee (was winner of Fame Gurukul in 2005 with Qazi Touqeer. Her Debut Album Yeh Pal with Qazi Touqeer went Double Platinum in India)
3) Debojit Saha (winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2005. Released an album after winning the competition which was not very successful.)
4) Ishmeet Singh (Winner of Amul Voice of India. Has also released a album of shabd (Devotional Album) after winning the title)
5) Aishwarya (winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- Ek Main Aur Ek TU with Ujjaini in 2005. Has also released an album with her titled- Ek Main Aur Ek Tu)
6) Ujjaini Mukherjee (Also participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa challenge that year in which she came at 7th position then entered the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- EK Main Aur Ek Tu series and won the title.)
